The Cavalier Residences
Metzger Design is honored to be part of the newest residential development in Virginia Beach, one that will surely have a profound and lasting impact on the character of the area. The Cavalier Residences will be a neighborhood of 82 homes flanking the historic Cavalier Hotel, which first opened its doors in 1927 and quickly became one the premier seaside destinations in the Mid-Atlantic. After years of decline, the hotel is set to regain its former opulence thanks to a group of ambitious investors in partnership with the City of Virginia Beach.
Metzger Design, as a member of the Builders Guild tasked with completing the residential portion of the development, has purchased 8 of the 'Estate Lots', the largest home sites. Each house will be custom designed by our professionally-trained team and built utilizing quality materials and sustainable technologies.
We are particularly excited to have a role in this project due to our family connections to Virginia Beach and the North End, in particular. Jared grew up in the North End and has fond memories of life as a kid at the beach in the 1970s and 80s. Jennifer has been a constant visitor since 1995, when her brother moved to the area; her parents followed just a few years ago. We realized that to fully commit to the project, and to the area, that we needed to become permanent residents as well. We moved from Richmond in December 2014 and are now North End residents ourselves, surrounded by parents, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Please review the map to the right for locations of our available lots. Lot 41 (on The Great Lawn), Lot 49, Lot 82 and Lot 52 (in the Gaslight District) are currently being offered.
